Busy... busy... busy!

That's what I've been!!!  This weekend was great - I enjoyed spending time with my incredible Mama!!  Friday night, we went with my parents to a new pizza place and LOVED it!!  In my opinion, our town is really lacking in good pizza places!  For you local readers, Johnny's Pizza in Whitehouse is wonderful!!!  After supper we picked up Andy's (frozen custard that is to die for!!! - Honestly, I have never eaten better "ice cream" - SO RICH!!)  Then, we headed to my house for a game of Canasta.  FUN!!!

Saturday I shopped all day for a new outfit.  I was scheduled to sing a solo in church on Sunday and still had not found anything to wear.  And, I never did!  I wore one of my older outfits, but it was fine.  I couldn't sleep at all on Saturday night.  I was WAY too nervous about singing on Sunday.  I am a soloist and I love to sing!  Despite the fact that my church is HUGE, (we have 3 morning worship services and have about 5000 people every Sunday morning) my nervousness was over the song I was supposed to sing!  I was singing a new song that wasn't as familiar to me.  Have ya'll heard Kari Jobe's "Joyfully"?  It's a beautiful song, but I had never heard it before two weeks ago!  Anyway, it turned out great, but I was so glad when that last service was over.  :-)  God truly answered my prayers for peace, memory, clarity, and confidence. I asked Him to completely take over, sing through me, and be glorified!  And, He did!

Sunday night my whole family met up for Andy's (yes, again! - it's THAT good!!) and gathered at my daddy's office.  Jack and Micah (my nephew who is 2 weeks younger than Jack), were spun around in the chair by Uncle Josh!  When we stopped them for a picture, Jack said "CHEESE!"  :-)

Fun times!

I hope your weekend was wonderful, too!  I hope to post the Pillow Pet review and giveaway sometime on Tuesday... so check back!!!

Every Day is a Gift

Look what I found on the clearance aisle at Hobby Lobby today!!!
Original price - $29.99.
Clearance price - $10.77!!!
YEA!!!

Isn't it beautiful!?!?  I especially love all the details of the frame!
And, it's such a wonderful reminder!
I'm not sure if I'm going to put it in my bathroom, where I'll see it each morning when I get dressed or in my kitchen, where I'll see it as I walk out the door each day.  What would you do?  It will go perfectly in either spot.

I had seen this several times, but wasn't willing to pay full price.  When I found it on sale today and had a little birthday money left to spend, I grabbed it up!

It reminds me of James 1:17...
"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."

And Psalm 118:24...
"This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."

Don't you just love fabulous finds like this!??!?

I'm linking this to Woo-Hoo Wednesday at Always Nesting!

Dwizzle Dee - Colors, Sizes, Songs, and Imagination DVD Review

I am in love with this precious dvd!!!  Lenny, Penny, Gifford, and Ms. Ashley are the cutest puppet characters!!!  And, the learning that takes place while watching this dvd is phenomenal.  Mallory was enthralled with Ms. Ashley's teaching and even Jack, my 21 month old, stayed glued to it.  I couldn't help but giggle at Lenny's off-key singing, but his message still got through.  :-)  Children are welcomed into Ms. Ashley's classroom where rhythm, rhyme, and repetition are mixed with imagination, songs, and problem solving.  This dvd takes children on fabulous adventures in learning colors, sizes, and shapes. Take a look at a little clip of what this dvd has to offer:

This visually stimulating dvd is perfect for children ages 18 months to 5 years old.  If you're interested in receiving more information or getting your own copy of this dvd, please visit http://www.dwizzledee.com/.

Many thanks Ms. Eva Marie Damore of Damore Public Relations for offering this dvd for me and my family to review.

Party at the Pizza Place

Tonight my family celebrated my sister's birthday at Double Dave's Pizza.  The kids played in the arcade area and had so much fun!  This Candy Crane was constantly working... no money required.... so Mallory was determined to scoop up some candy!!!  Grant and Micah wanted her to, too!!  :-)

After several tries she was successful... I'm sure the tootsie roll prize is so old and hard she won't be able to bite into it, but regardless... she won!!!

Micah wanted to win a prize, too!  Isn't that too cute?!?!

Jack and Micah rode the merry-go-round for a little while, but...

Jack wasn't focused on the merry-go-round...

...not even a little bit!

Can you see the direction he's looking in every picture?!  I know what you're thinking... you think he wants to win some candy, too, right?!??!

Nope... we wanted to drive the car!!  :-)

I'm not sure who had more fun... Jack or Uncle Jamy!  :-)

Happy Birthday, Kristin!!!  I hope you had a fabulous day!!!
I love you!

Child and Infant Tylenol, Motrin, Zyrtec, and Benadryl RECALLED

My sister just sent me some information about a recall on children's medicines.  Please check this out!!  I had two of the products that were on the recall list!!!  Make sure you look at the product numbers located on the bottles above the product name.

McNeil Consumer Healthcare Announces Voluntary Recall of Certain OTC Infants’ and Children's Products

Fort Washington, PA (April 30, 2010) – McNeil Consumer Healthcare, Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc., in consultation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is voluntarily recalling all lots that have not yet expired of certain over-the-counter (OTC) Children’s and Infants’ liquid products manufactured in the United States and distributed in the United States, Canada, Dominican Republic, Dubai (UAE), Fiji, Guam, Guatemala, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Panama, Trinidad & Tobago, and Kuwait.
McNeil Consumer Healthcare is initiating this voluntary recall because some of these products may not meet required quality standards. This recall is not being undertaken on the basis of adverse medical events. However, as a precautionary measure, parents and caregivers should not administer these products to their children. Some of the products included in the recall may contain a higher concentration of active ingredient than is specified; others may contain inactive ingredients that may not meet internal testing requirements; and others may contain tiny particles. While the potential for serious medical events is remote, the company advises consumers who have purchased these recalled products to discontinue use.

The company is conducting a comprehensive quality assessment across its manufacturing operations and has identified corrective actions that will be implemented before new manufacturing is initiated at the plant where the recalled products were made.

Consumers can contact the company at 1-888-222-6036 and also at http://www.mcneilproductrecall.com/. Parents and caregivers who are not sure about alternative pediatric health treatment options should talk to their doctor or pharmacist and are reminded to never give drug products to infants and children that are not intended for those age groups as this could result in serious harm.
