Weekend Fun!

Our weekend has been fabulous!!!  Here's a recap of Saturday and Sunday...

Late Saturday afternoon we loaded into my parent's suburban and headed to Garden Valley Golf Resort for a "twilight" round of golf.  Daddy and Brad played while the kids, my mom, and I rode in the cart.  Of course on several holes, the kids got to putt around a little bit.  It was one of the most relaxing evenings we've spent in a long time!  I can't wait to go again!!!

Mallory and Jack waiting for the carts to be loaded.  Jack immediately took to the wheel!  HA!

Nana, Mallory, and Papa

Me and Jack

Our family of four!

Me and Jack - walking to the green for the 1st time
The scenery was breathtaking!

Big Jack (my Daddy) and Little Jack - I just love this picture!!

Papa, Mallory, and Brad - what a trio this is!!!  Aren't they precious?!

Me, Jack, and Brad

Jack getting his turn to putt.

We need to work on the form, but otherwise he's pretty good!  :-)

The fabulous foursome!  Oh, what fun they had!

Mallory and Jack running back to the carts.  He is definitely her little shadow!

Jack started to wind down as it got later.

He just laid down so sweetly.

He was one tired baby boy!

We ended the night with pizza and cokes.  SUCH FUN!  I just love long summer days spent like this!!!

On Sunday, we went to church as always, then headed to Josh and Amy's house (my brother and SIL) that night.  Josh had set up several water toy stations for the kids in their backyard.

Jack got to play in Mallory's sprayground for the 1st time.  It took him quite awhile to get used to the water, but he eventually got in and played.  But, he hated the water getting in his face!

Jack LOVED putting the balls in this sprinkler... it would shoot the balls into the air!

Mallory loved this baby pool the most - she is such a "girly girl"!!

Grant and Mallory

Josh also had water guns for the kids to shoot at each other.  You can see how much fun that was!

Amy and Macy ("CiCi" as Jack calls her!)

Josh and Jack

Grant had a ball diving into the water!  He was a hoot!!!

Jack screamed when Grant dove in!  They were having so much fun!

Micah LOVED the water guns!!!

And here's Scarlett!

Josh grilled out some DELICIOUS burgers and made homemade ice cream that was out of this world!!  We ended the night with a long walk around the neighborhood.  I just love family times like this.  It's wonderful when we can all get together. These are special times and memories I will treasure forever.

Mega Swagbucks Day! Earn $$$ with your blog!!!

Today is Mega Swagbucks Day!! For those of you with a Swagbucks account, don't forget to do all of your internet searches with Swagbucks today!!

For those of you who aren't familiar with Swagbucks, let me introduce you to an amazing internet search tool!!!

When you search the internet, you usually "google" something, right? Well, instead of using Google, use SWAGBUCKS. Swagbucks is actually powered by Google. Swagbucks will reward you with points as you search. You can turn around and redeem those points for cash, products, or gift cards!!! I especially like receiving the cash deposited directly into my paypay account, but there are tons of prizes that can be bought with your swagbucks. It's so amazing that you can actually earn money, prizes, or gift cards for something you already do - searching the internet!!!

I downloaded the swagbucks toolbar for my internet homepage so it's right there and available whenever I need to do a search. It also keeps a running total of the points I've won so I know exactly how much I have.  As I type this post, I have earned 2511 swagbucks.  But, I have already spent 1400 on cash and prizes.  It's amazing how quickly the points add up!

I use Swagbucks every single time I go to an internet site. Even if I know the site address, I still use Swagbucks to get there. I'll enter the site name, let Swagbucks find it for me, and then click on the site. I'll earn Swagbucks and still end up where I want to be!

Another awesome part about Swagbucks is their referral program. That's what I'm doing here today. If anyone clicks the link below and signs up for Swagbucks, I will receive the same points they receive (up to 1000). So, I'd REALLY appreciate it if you'd sign up with this link so we can both earn points! Then, you can do the same thing and build your referrals! You'll invite your friends to follow you in the referral program and YOU can start receiving THEIR points! It's a win-win situation! This has truly been the BEST money maker I have tried since beginning my blog almost 2 years ago. And, it is my policy NOT to endorse something that I do not use myself.

Click the box below to sign up and start earning money TODAY for something you already do!!

I need advice. To sell or not to sell? That is the question.

I need some advice.  As a stay-at-home-mom, the funds in our one-income household can run a little tight most months.  To help bring in some extra income, I work from home and do some billing for my dad's insurance company.  This is HUGE for us and is such a blessing to have a consistent extra income.  But, even though I bring in that amount, there's always a need for a little extra cash.

God has blessed me with the ability to create.  I can sew, craft, and make all kinds of things.  So, lately I've been thinking that maybe I need to begin selling some of the things I make.  I've sold some things to friends here and there, but never really opened it up for the public. That's where you come in.  Can you help me decide if these are things people would actually purchase?  I've heard that ETSY is a good place to sell handmade items, but I don't know anything about it.  Anybody know any good ways to market things like this and get started?  Take a look at these pictures and let me know what you like and what you think would sell in an ETSY store (or wherever!).  I'd really appreciate all the help I can get!!!

Cross Plaques - many different options available

Pillowcase dresses
Custom Hairbows

Ruffled Outfits

Backpacks

Picture Frames

Tassels

Custom Bows

I also make custom pillows with decorative trims, but can't find my pictures of any of them.

Anyway, you get the idea of what I like to do.  Got any suggestions for me?  PLEASE HELP!!!  :-)

When we received the costume in the mail, Mallory couldn't wait to put it on!!  I was amazed at the quality of this costume and the attention to detail!  The gorgeous pink gown includes a headband and wings at no extra cost. The dress has a soft velvet torso and a sheer pink skirt that is lined with pink satin and flows elegantly to the floor.  It has beautiful marabou and tinsel trim that borders the hemline and neckline, plus it's trimmed the enitre way around the wings. The sheer pink sleeves also have marabou-trimmed cuffs that match the rest of the dress.  The headband has a halo made from the same material.

It took us a little time to figure out how to put on the wings. I was having Mallory put them on upside down, so they looked more like butterfly wings. I couldn't figure out why they weren't staying in place like they should. When I finally looked at the picture that came with the costume, I realized my mistake and helped Mallory put them on right-side-up! Other than that, there was no assembly required and getting in and out of the dress was simple.
