March Madness

March Madness?  I am not talking about basketball finals (not exactly).  I'm talking about the crazy fun stuff going on around here.  I've been gone the past four days to Austin for my family's annual trip to the State Basketball Tournament.  We've been going on this trip for as long as I can remember.  Every year our family just grows and grows and we just bring everybody along! This year, we had 10 adults and 6 children ages 5 years to 4 months old!  IT WAS A BLAST!  The guys all go to the basketball games while the girls shop!  We always meet up for supper and then the guys head back to the games while the girls get the kids bathed and put down. 

We started the day early Thursday morning and headed to Waco to shop at Spice and the Shops at River Center! Afterwards, we went to Salado and shopped at a couple of our favorite stores.  Fabulous, fun shopping!  We arrived in Austin just in time for dinner with the guys at Pappasitos!

Jack was too pooped from all the travelling to eat.  He fell asleep on my arm in his highchair!!

We really enjoyed our hotel.  It was so pretty!!

Each morning we had breakfast at the hotel before heading out.  There was a huge gazebo that Mallory just HAD to check out!

On Friday we went to San Marcos and shopped at the outlets there.  I found a cute dress for Mallory and a couple of outfits for Jack.  That night we went to Fuddruckers for hamburgers!

Saturday we shopped at the Barton Creek Mall and Stein Mart.  Mallory got to see the Easter Bunny for the first time this year.  She ran to hug him as I raced to get my camera out!

 

It was also Tennille's birthday, so that night we celebrated at The Brick Oven.  The people there were kind enough to give us a back room.  We had pizza and cookie cake!!!

Sunday we had breakfast at the hotel and then drove to Round Rock to do a little more shopping before heading home.

Our last stop was the Collin Street Bakery in Corsicana.  The kids got cookies and enjoyed the beautiful weather!!

We had a wonderful weekend!!  We look forward to this trip every year!!
